Louis Ghost Chair (Kartell) Philippe Starck

A Louis XV style transparent Polycarbonate chair in true Philippe Starck Style.  This chair is a classic that has been on my list from day one.  It has been featured by Oprah and placed in Italian historic churches.  The classic baroque style with a modern flair fits into many settings allowing us to showcase a classic piece of functional art while refraining from covering our backdrop.

I remember the challenges from my first year in the UNCG Interior Architect Department when Patrick Lucas had us draw our chairs.  I believe drawing a transparent chair was the worst of the experiences I had through my cards.  I think I have better represented the transparency however Kartell does offer this chair in batch dyed polycarbonate as well. Secondly spelling Starck’s name always seems a challenge to new students.  We require correct spelling on the chair and designer name on the test and this one trips a lot of people up.
