This chair was developed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1956. The chairs I have posted previously in this blog have been leading up to this. Herman Miller needed a high end chair for their collection and the Eames bent wood style along with beautiful upholstery make this one of my favorite chairs produced by the couple.

Chair CardsThis blog was started to track the exceptional work by the students of UNCG in the Interior Architectural Design Program. Our History 221 and 222 classes use these cards to help familiarize us with historically significant design and designers. The initial purpose is for the students, however, it will remain for comments and use by anyone interested in design. - Brian - BSPeck@uncg.edu
