History of the Klismos Chair

I have been looking at thousands of chairs this semester and I see that some of them bear revisiting.  The Klismos Chair form dates back to the stele or tombstone of Xanthippos, Athens dated between 430-20 BCE.

The chair is found with the Greeks where Homer stated “Goddess liked the Klismos”.  Here is a 400 bc depiction of the Klismos form
